About the event
Join us at our Wake Forest Teaching Apiary on Saturday, May 3rd at 8:00am for a Hands-on Beginner Beekeeping Class. Bring your Smartphone or Tablet to view & follow along the PowerPoint presentation. This class will take place the morning of our Spring Nuc & Hive Pick-up.
We will go over what it takes to get your honey bees through the first year including installing your nuc into your hive. We will also allow you to inspect our established hives to learn how to do a proper inspection of your new hive. You must wear your personal protective gear (bee suit/jacket/veil & gloves) to attend and bring your hive tool & smoker if you’d like to dig into a hive.
If you’re purchasing honey bees from us this season, you’re welcome to join us for FREE. If you’d like to attend as a guest, the cost is $20/person or $25/couple.
